(Fort Collins, Colo., February 20, 2026)
— The Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee National Grassland is hiring temporary recreation employees for the upcoming season and is encouraging local residents to apply.
“Seasonal employees are vital during our busy summer season,” said Forest Supervisor Chris Stubbs. “These positions offer hands-on experience and the chance to care for our public lands that are so important to Colorado."
The Arapaho Roosevelt Pawnee is recruiting for a variety of roles at our Ault, Boulder, Granby, Idaho Springs and Fort Collins locations, including:
- Recreational trails and facility maintenance
- Visitor information services
All applicants must apply through USAJOBS.gov by March 3, 2026. You can
find
more details about seasonal jobs and upcoming local recruitment on our website. These positions are in addition to seasonal fire hire events, already underway.
Bringing on seasonal employees will help improve trails and facilities for safer, reliable and enjoyable recreation experiences for all. On many areas of the Forest, seasonal employees will be
involved in the continued process of recovering from the 2020 Cameron Peak and East Troublesome fires.
“I encourage anyone considering a natural resources career to apply and contribute to your National Forests and Grassland,” added Stubbs.
