Subject: Volunteer Opportunity at the CSU Mountain Campus

We will be holding a volunteer day at the CSU Mountain Campus on Saturday June 27 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. where we will be cutting, limbing and bucking trees as well as hauling out the wood and piling the tops and limbs. The Cameron Peak Fire killed much of the forest in and around the campus, plus many of the surviving trees are now exposed to the wind and are being blown down. Much of the area is difficult if not unsafe for people to walk through and we are currently focusing on cleaning up the property south of the homestead which is often used for educational groups.

We will be working with the NOCO Sawyers who have already committed their group for the day.

If you are interested in helping on the 27th 1) please RSVP and let me know if you want to cut or help with moving wood and slash. 2) Bring your lunch, snacks and liquids. 3) Park at the first parking area which is the first right turn past the bridge as you enter the CSU property (see map). We can help shuttle equipment to the work area.

Let me know if you have any questions. I am currently teaching at the Mountain Campus and have limited email and texting capability, but will answer you ASAP.
