Hi,
I just wanted to give you both a heads up that there will be 2 biological science technician positions opening at USDA National Wildlife Research Center. I thought your current or previous students may be interested in applying. The positions should be posted on USAJobs.gov next week and I can send a link once they are up. One is located at our predator research field station in Millville, Utah (near Logan and Utah State). This position is to provide care for a colony of captive coyotes that are used for research. The second position is to provide husbandry for deer for Chronic Wasting Disease research at our Fort Collins main campus. Husbandry for the many other wildlife species will be part of the job as well, but duties will focus on the deer. Both positions are GS5 permanent positions. The posting will be open for one week, so applicants should apply right away. Also a heads up that all new USDA positions require a skills assessment through USAHire. I have heard that this can take applicants quite a while to complete, so please encourage any interested applicants to give themselves plenty of time before the deadline.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I am also happy to connect students with the hiring manager for the Utah position. I will be the hiring manage and supervisor for the Fort Collins position.
Thanks!
Liz
