How's this for a rule-  

Whereas the Martian economy is wanting a paradigmal syzygy, and

Whereas the Martian ecology is in a schismajism

Therefore Martian chickens should produce new chickens directly, with no egg intermediary.  Likewise, eggs should produce new eggs independently also.
And let's get the growth hormones out of the cows,  especially the natural ones.

Well, spoonhanger, had you (1) communicated an intent to play, rather than just lurking, and (2) submitted

that a martian day ago (2 is two parts -- you didn't actually submit it, and it was past the deadline, and by

roughly one martian day, well done) I would have refrained from invalidating it on tacit grounds of stylistic

inconsistency (because I've outgrown that) and declared it valid, meaning that henceforth (within the current

round) Martian chickens have live births,  rendering the classic prioritization paralysis question moot.

Furthermore, we would have revealed for future compliance some aspects of life on mars that might

get elucidated later.

It seems we have two new list members. Who's for a round of introductions?
