The Battle of Crécy, in 1346, was a major battle in the Hundred Years' War between France and England. King John of Bohemia, who had been blind for the past decade, tied himself to his horse and tethered his horse to his retinue, charging into battle in an attempt to spur the French forces to victory. The battle was a major loss for the French, and led to English occupation of Calais for the next 200 years. King John the Blind's body was found dead on the battlefield.Rules with negative style are invalid.
