Submission for Round 373:

Fugiendae agorae is an invasive species of fungus. It typically grows on the trunks of large trees, where it takes nutrients from its host. During this process, it grows deeply into the trunk, leaving an unusually smooth circular hole, as if it were made using a drill. Due to this, it is generally known as boring fungus. The growth of F. agorae can be combated by burning old paper in the area one wishes to protect, although the reason for this is not known.

F. agorae has been found to occasionally use M. efarcee as a host, although the effects of this on either species are not yet understood.

Future rules will include one or more ways that species they define can be controlled or by which their invasion can be treated or prevented.
