It's a Turkish horror movie. Currently, there are 6 movies of it and 7 will be released later. It's something I've never seen before, kind of like a much scarier version of Paranormal activity with Djinns. I come from a Muslim family, so it's pretty interesting seeing a concept incorporated from Islam rather than Christianity, which I see all the time. The best part is they're all on Youtube. I'd highly recommend it. I never knew Turkish horror movies would be this creepy.
Dilek, a housewife suddenly starts to feel presence of something abnormal in a specific room in their house. Though her husband, Omer refuses to agree with her but situation become worse. They find out that, an ancient paranormal creature called Jinn, has cursed on Dilek.
Turns out I was completely wrong. Dabbe 5: Curse of the Djinn is an entirely different film, and actually seems to be a lot more of a tribute to both modern classic horror (Evil Dead, Poltergeist, Insidious, and just a dash of Argento influence).

I saw this movie in the theater with a group of friends. We haven't seen a good scary movie for a long time in Turkish cinemas, but this movie full fill all my expectations.
because,I am not easily freaked out by horror movies, but I really like horror movies based on true stories.
Hasan Karacadag has done a great job in building the tension and suspense slowly and scaring the daylights out of us.
He knows Turkish people's deepest fears and was made to scare the hell out of you!
It has a good plot, characters and an actual storyline (unlike some other movies). very solid script. And This time karacadag keeps the CGI at a minimum. it told a lot of details about,Djinns, dreams, nightmares and religions!
Excellent set design and costumes as well.Sound design and music was OK.I loved how sparingly the music was used.
Definitely worth it if you like good scary movies with not much gratuitous violence.
Anyway good flick and fun to watch.
If you love scary movies based on true stories this one is awesome.
The final twist is mind blowing!
I don't want to say anymore than that in fear I'll spoil it for anyone. Just definitely watch this.
8- Performances by the actors are too good and so damn real. Faruk, the man who performs the exorcism, Kubra -The girl who has been possessed by the Djinn and the lead actress Ebru who plays role of a psychiatrist. All of them have played their part very nicely.
