Hi All,

I've run into the following issue after setting up Frapi.

Critical Setup Issues

We have identified issues regarding your setup which means that your API will not function correctly until you resolved those issues.

  • Submodules missing, please rungit submodule update --init
So I still executed the statement in the Frapi folder and get the following output:

c:\xampp\htdocs\src\frapi>git submodule update --init
fatal: Not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git

Try doing it on the src folder, not inside frapi one!

Cheers,

Ernani

I did.  Does the command look for a *.git file in the current folder in order to function properly?

Hi Don,

How did you get frapi? Did you clone the git repository or use the download link?

I downloaded the zip from this URL: https://github.com/frapi/frapi which is: https://github.com/frapi/frapi/zipball/master

Any future information on this one? I have the same problem. I downloaded the archive and set up Frapi, than I have this exact same message. I would prefer not to install GIT on production machines just to have Frapi running. So, is there a work-around? Is this actually a serious problem, or just a message we can safely ignore? I am new to Frapi, so I am not sure yet if it's working correctly or not on my system, but this message is surely there :)

Hi,

Here is what you can do -

Please install gitHub on windows.

The git commands can be run from the gitShell downloaded with github

Run the -git clone command to extract the repository on your local system.
Now also run -git submodule update --init command in src parent folder.

This will update the submodule.
Restart the web server.

Bingoo
Should be done.
Hope this helps.

Regards,
Saurabh

Ace is missing in your admin js folder.
https://github.com/ajaxorg/ace
Git is easier but if you can't use git on your server you can copy the files there manually.

My corporate ffirewall  prevents use of git:, so I had to manually edit .gitmodules and .git/config to use http: not git:
