04/30/08 Monthly Meeting Summary

Hello everyone,  We had our meeting in a larger room this time at the back of the same Agricultural Extention building.  I hope you were all able to make it.  If not, here's a list of some of the things you may have missed...   -Discussed nominating Irvin Rackley for his efforts to get a beekeeping exhibit at the zoo. -Members shared their experiences with this year's swarm calls -Jack Tapp spoke about pollination -Members asked and discussed questions about moving hives -Todd announced that Dr. Tarpy will be speaking at our May 28th meeting and Charles Fleckenstein will speak in the near future about wax working and candle making -Holiday dinner to be planned -Todd wants to start a Mentor List on our website -Jack brought nucs for members to get hands-on experience -Door prizes were given to five members   I hope you all are able to attend our next meeting scheduled for May 28th.  I will post a detailed list of minutes from this meeting shortly.  Hope to see everyone next month!!!  Kristi
