I am resurecting my web page on USGenNet.  I just uploaded a newspaper clipping on the colored school in West Frankfort.  Read all about it here http://www.usgennet.org/usa/il/county/franklin/ColoredSchool.html  I also put some obit clippings on the deaths page.  I'm not near done updating so don't go telling me a lot of links don't work yet.

What website did you say to get what you need off of it cause it was supposed to close, Sue?

IL GenWeb  The State co-ordinator Barbara Freeman disappeared and caused a lot of problems.  Some web masters cannot work on their sites.  Even the state co ordinators web sites comes up with error messages.  Thats why I moved Franklin while I still could. Sad, there are some very nice web sites there.  I'm going to put a re direct from GenWeb to my Franklin site on Genealogy Village.  Thats the route others are going too.
