I got this email today asking for help. Does
anyone work on the Hammond family? I did find a Reuben Hammond in the 1865
census, and then a marriage record in 1858 to Permelia Brayfield. Can
anyone help this lady?

Subject: Looking for help
My name is Bridgette and my husband in currently on 3rd
deployment. He has 15 years in so far. We are at fort Campbell Kentucky
I was wondering if you could help me. I am trying to find information in
a Reuben hammond I believe his father was Samuel Hammond one if his
siblings was sanford who served in the civil war also with Reuben.
Reuben is buried at plot 659 at
Fort Donelson National Battlefield -
Cemetery
In Dover Tennessee.
My 12 year old son and I have decided to
adopt a unattended grave and soldier. We would like to know his birthday and
maybe date of death so we may place flowers on grave but I am having a very hard
time finding any information your site is so helpful in finding what little I
have found. If you could offer any advice I wound appreciate it.
Thank
you
