Friends,
This has been a grueling two days. Susan's mother (Patsy Lynch) is in the process of leaving her earthly life for the promised eternal life in heaven. She has been the subject of many a prayer in our class so I wanted to let you know of this news.

This weekend she was alert and very communicative. Yesterday afternoon Susan received a call from the nursing home that Patsy was in a rapid decline and had refused food on Mon and water on Tues. They advised that we should call the family in. Hospice was notified and their support kicked into high gear.

Currently she is in a non- responsive state and vital signs are waning by the hour. We had expected a quicker end but she is a fighter and is hanging on. The family has been holding vigil as best as our bodies will allow. Sometimes you just feel that you don't have another ounce of strength left but you trudge on anyway.

My prayer request is this: Patsy (86) has led a very purposeful life and it is time to let go and reap the rewards that salvation has waiting for her. That Susan regain her lost voice and feel peace, comfort and no regrets as her mother slips away. That the family have the physical and emotional strength to see this through knowing that it is really all about going home and the celebration of a life well lived. And that the lives Patsy touched over the years know without a shadow of a doubt that she acted out of her love for her Lord and Savior.

Blessed Assurance!

Larry
