Hi everyone,
Hope you had a nice week to rest and travel. I slept- a lot- and cleaned out my garage.
Oh what fun.
Some reminders:
ALL:
Book reports are due tomorrow- no exceptions. Make sure they are in their backpacks.
Any and all fluencies that are owed to me are also due.
Graded work will go home this week.
5th GRADE:
5th graders will take their Jr. Fire Safety Program test/essay tomorrow during ELA
time at 10:40am. They will have time to study in the morning, provided they bring their
booklets. Please ensure that they have it.
Any text books used over the break should be returned to school I won't begin a new Social Studies unit until after testing/ Catalina Trip, but I'd like books in class for independent work during testing.
AS for the regularly scheduled calendar- we will try to stick to it- in regards to quizzes because none of the work is overly tough or time-consuming and I think the kids can manage, but if I feel differently, I will of course make changes. Disregard the upcoming Science Quiz.
We are going to do a monster review of Science terms in preparation for the state test at the beginning of May. All review will be done in class and there won't be any type of assessment that is formal- more like in class practice quizzes and review so they are prepared.
6th GRADE:
Paperwork for Catalina and middle school needs to be returned. For detailed question on Catalina, speak with Ms. Gomez. For specific questions regarding middle school, speak with Ms. Jones. Whether or not you are attending, etc, please return all papers work right away.
ALL FORMS ARE DUE FOR CATALINA. The ORANGE Rx form is due tomorrow as well, if applicable as per Ms. Gomez.
ALL students are producing great work and I couldn't be prouder of their efforts. Thank you for your support. We are in desperate need of lined 3 holed paper, in case you can spare any. We are completely out of this item.
Thanks again,
Ms. Garcia
