Hello, I was wondering if Frank works on the actual device, or just
the simulator?

Thanks

Hi Matt,

Just realized that no-one ever replied to you on this - apologies!

In theory Frank should work just fine on the actual device, but as far
as I know no-one has tried it. The only wrinkle would be finding out
the IP of the device so that you could point the Frank driver at the
correct url.

One of these days I'll take the time to try it out and report back to
the group.

Cheers,
Pete

I haven't actually tried yet, but it would be difficult to do using a 3G connection because as far as I know, it's not possible to get a static IP. We were thinking of running a local wireless network and giving the phone a static IP to overcome this, but it's early days.

Another option besides static IP is having frank publish itself using Bonjour. I believe the cocoahttpserver lib which Frank uses may already have support for this.

Cheers,
Pete
