Idon't have Apple Mobile Device USB Driver anywhere. I followed your instructions.I don't know what to do. I cannot connect to iTunes. I was able too about a week ago and it just seemed to stop working.

This keeps Happening even when I tried to restart the amds but nothing seems to work I've done every single tutorial from yt and these apple threads and still after all my pc doesn't recognize my phone anymore

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. When reinstalling right click on the downloaded setup file and use run as administrator. It may also help to pre-install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable and/or temporarily disable any non-Microsoft anti-virus.

The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, or want to revert to an older version if the current one won't work properly for you at the moment.

I removed the Apple Mobile device driver support but when I installed itunes it never reinstalled, I found the exe file but when I tried to install that it rerolled and didn't install, now my computer doesn't sync with my phone and now idk how to install it again

I was able to install itunes but it still hasn't installed the amds so, I uninstalled it and installed the older version which installed amds however in device manager the amds never came up so I wasn't able to update the driver

Sometime overnight I received a notification on my phone saying that some of my driver's license information had changed. I opened Apple Wallet to take a look at what was going on. When looking at my driver's license, I click the 3 dots at the top right, and click on Driver's License Info. My phone tries to verify my face and I get a Face Not Recognized error. There is not option given to use my passcode instead. I am locked out.

That sounds frustrating. The good news is that the items contained within the Wallet are stored encrypted directly on your device. They're not availble for access elsewhere, so your data should not be compromised.

I just set up a new MacBook Pro running Catalina. I am trying to print from my Canon MX870 printer, but Canon's US website tells me that there is no driver for "my version" of MacOS. Yet, when I go through the printer setup, the dialog box requires me to select a driver - which does not exist. (Whatever happened to the option "generic printer"?) So, somehow, between Apples OS software (that doesn't seem to contain the necessary driver) and Canon's laziness to include a driver on their download site, I am unable to use my printer. It still works just fine with my OTHER, older laptop - a MacBook Air running 10.15.7. In fact, it shows that there IS a driver for MX870 installed - version 16.10.0.0. How can I get that same driver unto my new (M1 chip) computer?

This may not work at all with a later operating system and with your computer, but it could possibly be worth a try anyway. It would of course be entirely experimental, so make sure that you have backup copies of all important files (documents, photos, et cetera).

There is a Canon Printer Drivers v3.4 for macOS download at =en_US&locale=en_US . A Canon MX870 series version 16.10.0.0 driver is mentioned in the referenced article. The same here, perhaps of interest for an experiment.

I've also had a few guys ask for clarification on the driver, so I'll answer those here:

1) This driver works on all OS versions that support c4z drivers, so this means 2.6 and newer, including 3.0. I just timed the release of this driver with the release of OS3.0.

2) The File Name says V4, which refers to the version of Apple TV Hardware. This driver will work on V3 and older Apple TV's, but is optomized for the new Apple TV hardware, that have the thick hardware, and includes the Apple TV App Store.

3) V6 is the driver revision, which includes the latest discrete reboot / resolution commands, as well as new 3D graphics/icons. The previous version was V4, and did not include the new graphics, and discrete reboot/resolution commands. V5 was an unreleased beta version which had flat icons.

4) This driver has been tested on HC800, and all EA processors. Due to the unique and precise nature of some of the commands, using special repeat rates, performance of this driver for the specialy commands like Jump Home, Wiggle Icons, and press & holds on arrow keys for fast scrolling may not work on older processors like the HC200/300/500 and the HC250.

I can't seem to get the power on command to work. I hit watch appletv and it flashes the IR bug, but won't turn on the appletv. If I use the apple remote to turn it on, everything else works through C4. Anyone else have this issue?

Hi, I just got my C4 Automation Programmer Cert. I am struggling with catching on to this system. I had to do a remote learning class. C4 did a good job but they kept saying how much we were missing out by not doing it in person. They weren't kidding. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am trying to do my first install. A EA5 and the project has a Gen 5 ATV. I can't tell if I added this driver correctly. With the default C4 driver I don't see anything in Composer Pro in the Connections tab to map to the ATV. I was taught in class to drag and drop the HDMI from the receiver, TV, and device onto the correct inputs/outputs and everything would work. They didn't tell us what to do when there were no "Connections". I know this is painful for you guys to field a question like this. If you can stomach it, any help is hugely appreciated.

Thank you! I figured out why I couldn't see the driver. I had to unselect "Certified Only". Why do you recommend IR over IP? I had added the "AppleTV(plus) universal minidriver", I think that is the C4 one. I just couldn't figure it out and I was getting error messages. I tried to add the one from JesseASmith, the guy who started the post, but I don't know if I did it right. Do you ever setup a device to work both via IR and IP and then test which one works better? I wish I could enable and disable things in a project while I tested them so I didn't have to delete them. Is there such a thing?

Anyway, I am going to try the one from IntrinsicDev and see how that goes. Have you ever used any drivers from them before? Is there a better store to buy C4 drivers from? Am I stupid to buy drivers period?

With the release of OS X Mavericks, the AppleUSBFTDI kernel driver is included. This driver will affect existing applications that under OS X 10.8 and earlier, use the Future Technology Devices International (FTDI) D2XX libraries to communicate with hardware devices that are based on the FTDI USB-to-serial chipset. This Technical Note discusses the new Apple driver, how it affects these FTDI D2XX based applications and what alternatives such applications can implement as solutions for OS X Mavericks and beyond.

The AppleUSBFTDI kernel extension is provided with OS X Mavericks to formally support application communications with hardware using the Future Technology Devices International (FTDI) chipset. Prior to OS X Mavericks, as OS X was updated, compatibility issues occurred as a result of issues between the FTDIUSBSerialDriver.kext and OS X updates. To eliminate these compatibility issues, Apple has implemented the AppleUSBFTDI for applications to use for communication with FTDI chipset based hardware accessories.

There are two categories of FTDI applications that are affected by the presence of the AppleUSBFTDI kernel extension. This Technical Note discusses these types of applications, how they are affected and the compatability solutions available for OS X Mavericks.

One group of applications that communicate with FTDI based hardware requires the presence of the FTDI kernel extension. FTDI chipset based hardware presents itself as a USB Composite class device with a vendor specific interface. The interface is matched to the FTDI kext, that in turn creates a BSD serial port for use at the application layer. The application opens the serial port to communicate with the hardware.
