instances ne se réunissent et ne décident de leur position dans les
négociations sur le climat.

In LESS THAN ONE HOUR members of the Committee on Environment, Public
Health and Food Safety will meet to decide on the European negotiating
position in Copenhagen this December.
Together with Leon, we went through all the amendments proposed at
tonight's meeting of the ENVI Committee of the EP. We identified the
two bad guys there and would like to ask you to call them NOW!!!
Below you can find their phone numbers as well as the number of the
amendments that we want to see withdraw (and a short explanation).

Content: This idiot wants to take away all reference to financial
support to prevent tropical deforestation.
Response: Financial incentives (of course with stringent anti-
corruption measures) are absolutely necessary to maintain tropical
rainforests. These forests are the most valuable carbon sinks and
havens of biodiversity in the world, and must be protected at all
costs.
