Debugmode Frameserver has been indispensable for me in Vegas 8.0, as
none of Vegas' internal rendering engines give me quality-based output
that x.264/MeGUI or TMPEGenc does. However, it looks like when a
project is set to 8-bit pixel video, Vegas re-adjusts the brightness
and contrast of the input video clips, such that rendered output looks
flat unless explicitly tweaked with a Vegas brightness/contrast
filter. (Oddly it doesn't seem to do this on imported still images
though.) I just figured out that setting the video to 32-bit floating
pixels leaves the contrast alone. But I gather DMFS won't work in
this mode, yes? Too bad.

Second, I just plunked down my 200 bucks to upgrade to Vegas 9.0, and
the FS does not show up in the render-as file formats. Has anyone
succesfully gotten this to work?

I would gladly kick in some donations to keep this most excellent
project usable in newer versions. Thanks for listening.

Hello,

For the first point I use the same software (Megui) and I've got the
same probleme of brightness and contrast. I don't correct them, but I
would like to find a solution without change brightness and contrast.

For the second pont, I try Sony Vegas 9 pro a few miutes ago, I'm
disapointed because the Debug Frame Server doesn't works.
I re-intall the FS but the same result. So sad!!!

Satish, can you help US?

Regards
