I am new to this forum and first would like to say that I think
FrameServer is a really useful tool.

For some reason, I am not able to use it with Vegas. I get an instant
crash when attempting to render any project to DebugMode FrameServer.
I usually have 1920x1080 projects, but I got the same result when
trying to render a test 640x480 10 second clip.

I searched the net and found a workaround for the Vegas' crash problem
called the Memory Hack. I tried it, but unfortunately the FrameServer
crash persisted. It says the memory hack also needs to be applied to
all plug-in DLLs. Does anyone know what plug-in DLLs FrameServer uses?

Any help on making the FrameServer work with Vegas 9 will be
appreciated.

I use Vista 32 but, Vegas 9.0a 32 bit.

Vegas 9.0b is out now with improved stability. Try that.

I've been trying in vain to get it to work with vegas 9 pro but it
crashes the moment I click save, which is the moment it tries to start
serving. I've tried with version 9.0b and it doesn't work. There must
be something else going on...

Are you all using 64 bit windows? Frameserver is not tested with
windows 64 bit yet.

I have exactly the same problem, also with Sony Vegas 9.0a. I'm using
this V2.6 Frameserver in EditStudio6 by PureMotion and there it works
OK, What's up?

Any suggestions? I'm not using 64 bit Windows so that couldn't be the
problem.

You're doing better then me; I don't see "Debugmode FrameServer" as an
option when attempting to render. I am running Windows XP (32 bit)
and Sony Vegas Pro 9.c. I've tried installing FrameServer in many
different locations with no success.

Please check if Vegas is a 64 bit application under 64 bit windows. If
so, frameserver won't work with that. 64 bit Vegas support is not
implemented yet.
