I recently decided to convert from oxy/acetylene to oxy/propane. I answered a craigslist ad for a 5 liter Devilbess for $250.
When I arrived at an unassuming suburban house in South Denver, imagine my surprise when I went in the front door to see at least thirty units arrayed across the living room floor.
The seller was either very entrepreneurial or very eccentric, or both. Said he basically bought out a failed oxygen supply company that rented them out. He asked me to sign a disclosure that said I was not going to use the unit for health purposes, and because he had so many he essentially warrantied the one I bought, promising me I could swap it out for one of the many others he had.
He also told me he had at least ten or more 10 liter units in a storage unit but they needed to be serviced before he could sell them.
I don't think he was selling them as fast as he had hoped; he urged me to spread the word. I doubt shipping makes much sense but if you are near the front range of Colorado or if you want my help let me know and I can give you his information.
