Hola,

Just compiled a list of european made gasfluxers units for a fellow framebuilder, and thought it would be good to share it with all of you.

All of the above supply liquid flux as well!

Cheers,

Yeah, but it's been done. And besides, the flux is easier to get locally, than the fluxer units themselves. When it comes to building your own, there's a good thread here: http://www.recumbents.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=5080

shipping a jerrycan of methanol might pose a slight problem though.

Making your own gasfluxer is quite doable though, leaving out all the valves (which clog) makes it much easier

I get my gasflux from http://www.bronlastechniek.nl/

I just built a gas fluxer.   I have the intention of offering a simplified version made of stainless in the next year or so.   It will be easy to maintain, sized right for our purposes and won’t cost as much as existing equipment.

Interesting, David. Do you have a drawing, and would you be willing to share it?

I don’t really have a drawing for this one…In that I just kind of fabbed it out of my head.

The real version will have a flat top and bottom.   Be stainless so that it reduces corrosion.  Have a way to break the unit open to clean it out and have standardized fittings that most can get at a local hardware store.

They are pretty easy to build really.  My biggest hurdle is that gas flux itself is extremely volatile and finding hose/fittngs/valves and the like that can stand up to it as been a bit of an experiment.

I should have a final prototype of the commercial one in the next month or two and I will forward that to the list.
