Any word from Don Ferris?

A few weeks ago I was visiting family in the Sandpoint, ID area, driving along US 95.  I saw a pillar of smoke visible to my east, and a group of helicopters carrying water buckets toward it.  As it turned out the fire was not controlled for days and created a bodacious smoke haze in the whole region.  The fire was pretty close to the property Don Ferris bought along Lake Pend Oreille.  I looked him up on FB but he is gone from that one.  I hope he is OK and his place didn't burn down.

Any news?  Don, are you out there?
