A++

Dear SpanDeX Users,
It is with a heavy heart that we are informing you that we will be discontinuing SpanDeX beginning two months from today. While we enjoyed working on it and hearing feedback from people who received genuine value from it, we found that it was taking us longer to develop features and make sales than we needed, and our efforts to streamline these processes proved ineffective.
Many of you will wonder where that leaves you. As for your documents, during the next two months you will have the ability to download everything you have on our servers all at once in .zip form. Effective immediately, we will also cancel all premium accounts and issues refunds for the rest of the month or year.
What you should use to collaborate now that we're gone? There are many options available, including (in no particular order)
WriteLaTeX,
ShareLaTeX,
Verbosus,
Publications.li, or if you're interested in self-hosting, you could even try
FlyLaTeX. We won't endorse any of them in particular; you can make your own judgements about each and decide which is best for you. We wish their teams all the best as well.
We have really enjoyed working on SpanDeX for the last year, learning about your problems, and seeing you use the site with colleagues around the world. We're honored that we were able to provide value to you, and thank our customers profusely for helping support us as we tried to find our legs. We apologize for the rougher times (especially the last few weeks) and appreciate the feedback and kind words throughout the months. Thank you all for your devotion and support, and we hope as time goes on you find your ideal solution for writing LaTeX collaboratively with your colleagues.
Yours truly,
Joshua Gross & Gregori Kanatzidis
