Subject: Gratitude to Lynn for the perspective on fracking

I just wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude to Lynn for courageously speaking about fracking.  There is so much reliable information available - based in research and in actual observed results - about the seriously toxic affects of the practice of fracking.  And of course, the companies who will become rich from it don't want to draw attention to that!  The companies speak of creating jobs for thousands, and for providing cheap and local energy, and so many people long for that!  But in truth, we have technologies *already* that offer clean and reliable sources of energy - ones that don't cause severe harm to the environment.  It all comes down to our willingness to see and understand the results of our choices as humans.  Our history is based in choices that are greedy and selfish, demanding to meet our perceived needs with little regard to the needs of all living beings and systems on the planet.  This must shift, or we will destroy ourselves.

Thank you again, Lynn, for sharing with us.  And also for recommending the film "Gasland" as a source of information to expand our understanding.

Angela,
There is indeed a wealth of real information available, both positive
and negative, that you obviously need to study. Citing "Gasland" as an
example of "reliable" information hardly qualifies as real
information. It falls in a category I would describe as hyperbolic
propoganda.
