Does anyone know anything about Hippolyte Girardot

I don't know French but if anyone is kind enough to tell
me anything about the french actor Hippolyte Girardot, like
his bithdate, what's he doing...anything. I've tried the net
searching for info. on him...but he isn't very popular...
Please reply to me in English if you can, if not it's okay...

Actually, he appears to be a rather low-tone actor, i.e. he does not show in the
"people" media et you do not hear much about him outside his movies.
I know he is the son of another (once ?) famous actress here, Annie Girardot.
Regarding his birth date, I cannot find anything but he is likely to be born
around 1956-1958.
He career is scarcer in the 90's as it used to be in the 80's but I do not know
if it is a personal choice or a lack of interest in him.
I just had a look at the IMDb, and his filmography there does not seem to be
complete: at least, he made his first speaking appearance in "La femme de Jean"
de Yannick Bellon in 1974 (he was playing the son)
But you may find his agent's address in the IMDb !

Why are you so interested by this actor ?
It is so unusual to be interested by such a French actor especially if
you do not come from France or Europe. I think you may find some film
with H.G. on international channel or TV5. I can say that H.G. is
popular but he avoids the medias.... He is a very good actor and
certainly a more representative symbol of the French guys than Gerard
Depardieu...
H.G. played in plenty of films but the best way is to perform a web
search using yahoo.fr or Internet Movie Database, which is more
convenient and provides technical informations with a great efficiency.
you should also tell us what is your criteria for your research: are you
only interested in "technical information" or do you want some opinions
about the way H.G. plays in his films ?
