Short Wins Award from Wichita Center for the Arts
Milwaukie, Oregon(Sept 20, l998 ) Chiaroscuro Painter Margret E. Short
is proud to announce her Honorable Mention Award and Director's Purchase
Prize from the Wichita Center for the Arts ,in the 1998 National Small
Oil Painting Exhibition. The awards were for her oil painting "Still
Life with Lace."
Short a former instructor at Clackamas Community College, is represented
by Vanier Fine Art, Scottsdale, AZ and the Sovereign and the Rental
Sales Gallery in Portland, OR.
Short has exhibited in the C.M. Russell Auction, Great Falls, MT, the
Gulf Coast Invitational, Biloxi, MS, the Gilcrease Museum, Tulsa, OK and
will be working with the Art in the Embassies Program, Washington, D.C.
Short is currently a member of the Salmagundi Club in New York and the
Women Artists of the West Arts Organization.
