I : The Main Differences between the manga and the anime.

=====Division of the story in several part=======

I will describe each part and point out what I think it is in the manga but not
in the anime.

1) From the beginning of the story (Seiya in Greece) to the coming of Phoenix.

No important differences. I didn't notice that Hyoga received a letter from
Sanctuary. This letter ordered him to go and kill any bronze Saints.
Hyoga changed his mind just after the fight between Seiya and Shiryu.

2) Bronze Saints fight Ikki and his Black Saints.

First, the place where they fight : I don't know if the name given in French
version is the good one (Death Valley) but it's not the same place in the
manga. This is what is written on the challenge letter, they received.

Time : Next Week.
Place : 10 HuuKetsu (Wind - Holes) at the south west of the green forest
at the foot of Mont Fuji.
So they will fight in these caves.

Anime : Black Cygnus Saint sends a part of his mask to Ikki (a little swan).
Manga : He sends his right eye !

In the manga, Black Dragon Saint is made of 2 twins. (there is only one in the
anime).

Ikki's memory of what happened on Death Queen Island, is a few changed.
In the anime, after he had killed his master, Ikki got Phoenix Cloth.
But in the manga, he had to defeat 4 Black Saints and their 'Don' Jango.
[This battle came later in the anime and in the present time]
Then he confronted Virgo Shaka who easily defeated him. That's why Ikki wants
a Gold Cloth !!

At the end of the battle, they are attacked by Docrates and Ikki disappears.
But, in the manga, they are attacked by Silver Saints who destroys the cave
where they were. Mu teleported them in different places. (for more, go to 4)

Another thing, in the manga, Ikki's master revealed him that any orphans choosed
by Prof. Kido had all the same father !! Ikki tells it to Seiya just after their
fight. (in part 4, we learn for sure who is this man)

3) Pope send some Saints to kill Bronzes.

These Saints don't exist in the manga. From Docrates to Hyoga's master (in the
manga, it is Aquarius Camus) the Crystal Saint.
There was also Ghost Saints and Geist.

4) Silver Saints

Their opponents are quite the same but some facts differs.

Manga :
Mu teleported Bronze Saints in different places. He brings Seiya on a
beach where Lizard Misty catches them. (he was following them since the
beggining) Then Misty confronts Seiya but suddenly Marin comes and pierces
Seiya's chest ! Then 3 other Silver Saints arrive. Each of them with a bronze
Saint : Whale Moses with Shiryu, Hound Asterion with Shun and Centauros Babel
with Hyoga. 4 Bronzes are then buried in the beach. While the others leave,
Misty stays, suspecting something. Suddenly he hit Seiya's grave. Seiya jumps
out of it. They fight and Seiya wins.
Those who were buried with him are Black Saints ! Seiya leaves the beach.
Babel comes back and must fight Hyoga. Hyoga kills him.
Later, Asterion, Moses and Marin come back, too. Silvers attack Marin and
tie her up, her head down, above the ocean. Seiya comes back to save her.
He faces Moses and kills him. Then Marin frees herself and defeats Asterion.

Later Hyoga, Shiryu and Shun arrives. Seiya reveals them what Ikki said :
Mitsumasa Kido is their father ! Hyoga confirms it !!
Then they go back to Colisseo where they meet Saori. She reveals them
[ I supposes it's her Athena's part which awakes at this moment] she is
Athena's reincarnation. She doesn't believe her and leave.
Then, there is Crow Jamian and Ikki's come back. He kills Auriga Capella
and leaves when he notices Shiryu, Hyoga and Shun have arrived. Hyoga
advises him to go and stay one week in the mediterranean island called Kanon.
Shun kills Kerberos Dante. Shiryu blinds himself to kill Perseus Argor.

Anime :
While he went for a walk with Miho, Seiya is attacked by Misty.
Then Marin comes and pierces his chest. He is buried [alone]. Then he will
fight and kill Misty. Then he fights Moses and kills him. Marin defeats
Asterion.
In the Colisseo, Tatsumi tells them who is Saori. Then they must fight Babel.
Steel Saints arrive and help them.
Then they decide to go to Sanctuary. Seiya, Shun and Shiryu's plane crashes.
They fights Shaina, Perseus Argor and Spartan. At the end of the battle,
Shiryu blinds himself and kill Argor.
Later, Saori is kidnapped by Crow Jamian. Seiya follows them and saves Saori.
Then there is also Dante and Capella's coming. And Ikki too. He kills Capella.,
while Shun defeats Dante.
At that time, Ikki returns to Death Queen Island and defeats Jango.
In China, Shiryu confronts his old friend, Tiger Ohko.
Seiya looks for Mu in order to heal Shiryu. He has to confront another Saint
Tarentula Arachne.

5) Gold Saints. (Aioria, DeathMask)

In the manga, Cameleon June comes alone in Japan to stop Shun.

6) Sanctuary

In the manga, Shaka has no disciples. Ikki comes directly from the volcano of
Kanon island and saves his brother.
In Sagittarius temple, there is no trap, only Aioros' will.
And when Seiya turns Athena's shield, not only the Gold arrow but Saga's
evil soul disappears too. Then Saga kills himself.

And now, a brief review of what happened 13 years ago (not really different) :
Though it's forbidden to anyone but Pope, Saga went to Star Hill and killed
the old Pope. He replaced him and tried to kill Athena. Aioros saved her but
was injured. So he gave the baby and his Gold Cloth to Mitsumasa Kido.

7) Hyoga in the country of the ice.

This storyline is quite similar to Asgard (8) but with only Hyoga.
Blue Glad (sp?) is a town in the north of Siberia. It's protected by Blue
Warriors whose leader is Alexei, son of the main man of the town.
Alexei wants his warriors conquer the world, so they can live in a sunny place.
But his father is for peace.
Alexei asks Hyoga to help them. Hyoga refuses and confronts him.
Unfortunately, he is defeated and locked up.
A young woman, Natassia, Alexei's sister, comes and begs him to save her father
from Alexei. If her father would die, then she would die too !
But it's too late, Alexie has killed him. He goes and asks Hyoga to help them.
Hyoga refuses again. He puts on his cloth (Jacob brought it), confronts
Alexei and defeats him.
Then Jacob tells them Natassia came out. They also comes out and finds her in
a ice prison. Hyoga breaks it and saves her.
Alexei swears he won't do evil acts again.
So Hyoga can leave them.

8) Asgard

Yet, another part which doesn't exist in the manga.

9) Poseidon

As there is no Asgard storyline in the manga, the beginning is different !
Saori has been invited at a reception for Julian Solo's birthday near Cape
Sunion in Greece. Julian asks her to marry him. But she refuses. The same night,
Saori is kidnapped in the guest room. Luckily, Aioria saves her.
The same night, at Cape Sunion, Julian finds a spear with 3 blades (sorry don't
know its english name. So I will use its french name : Trident.)
A young woman tells him it is his, the one of Poseidon's reincarnation !
The she takes him to the bottom of the sea : into the sea sanctuary, Poseidon's
temple.
Mermaid Thetys (the young woman) goes to Tokyo wit some warriors to kidnap
Athena (again). Seiya arrives and defeats them. Thetys runs away.
Seiya and his friends are still hospitalized.
Taurus Aldebaran comes to protect them and Athena.
One of the 7 generals of Poseidon, Siren Sorrent comes and fights Aldebaran.
With the help of his music (dead end symphony) Sorrent forces Aldebaran to
leave.
Sorrent goes back to Poseidon temple with Taurus Mask and with Athena !
Saori and Julian recognizes each other. He explains her his plan. She doesn't
agree with him so he locks her up in the main breadwinner of his temple.
Thetys goes to 5 Old Peaks to challenge Old Master and Gold Saints.
The 4 Bronze Saints appear. Thetys leaves quickly. They follow her with Kiki who
brought them their revived Cloth.

Then :
Seiya defeats Sea Horse Baian near North Pacific Pillar.
Shaina comes with Libra Gold Cloth (brought from Sanctuary)
Shun defeats Skylla Io (South Pacific Pillar)
Shiryu defeats Chrysaor Krishna (Indian Ocean Pillar) but becomes blind again.
Sea Dragon Kanon sends Seiya and Shun from the way to South and North Atlantic
Pillar to Antarctic Pillar. Lymnades Kasa injures Hyoga, Seiya and then Shun
but is killed by Ikki.
Hyoga defeats his old friend Kraken Isaac near Arctic Pillar, but he loses one
eye and will never get it back (not like Shiryu).
In Sanctuary, Gold Saints can't go and help them because of Old Master's order
(it's explained in the Hades part).
Ikki confronts Kanon while Shun confronts Sorrent.
Shaina, Seiya, Shiryu and Hyoga faces Poseidon.
Sagittarius Gold Cloth comes to save them. With its arrow, they can cross over
Poseidon temple and attack the Main Breadwinner.
Aquarius and Libra Gold Clothes will also come and protect them.
Meanwhile, Sorrent and Ikki tries to reason with Kanon.
Seiya and his friends breaks the main breadwinner and frees Athena.
She confronts Poseidon. He tries to kill her with his "trident".
But Kanon comes and protect her (this is very important !). He remembered she
saved him when he was captive in the prison of the Sunion Cape.
Then Athena puts Poseidon's soul into her urn.
Julian Solo loses memory.

10) Hades.

This one has not (yet ?) been made in Anime.
