We are looking for an WEB ADMINISTRATOR ON UNIX PLATFORMS with good
knowledge
of PERL . The position is based in London /Chelsea and the company would do
all the necessary paperwork (and pay for ) to obtain a UK VISA to the
candidate .
THE COMPANY , based in london with a subsidiary in Paris is a Small
computer and software development firm (6 developers and designers ) :
*manage 10 DEX ALPHA machines under Unix DEC and 4 Sun Server under Solaris
, on 2 separate continents - WITH HEAVY TRAFFIC SITES .
*Software/Programs include Netscape , Apache , Informix , Forums , chats
(Ichat), Real Video, etc
*Most developments are made using PERL with Informix
JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a WEB ADMINISTRATOR / PERL DEVELOPER , you would be responsible for the
following :
1. Administration , surveillance and maintenance of the various SUN and DEC
machines ( systems / space / databases / scripts )
2. Participation to Management and administration of the various databases
3. Participation to Management and administration of the various web
servers
3. Administration of the various scripts in place et tech. Support to the
clients
4. Development of new scripts using Perl and SQL informix .
5. Participation to the installation of various new programs and services .
As forums , chats , sendmail , broadcast etc ) and new areas .
Considering that some of the company's client are operating Adult web
servers ,
the candidate needs to be comfortable with the subject .
EXPERIENCE : Ideal position for an MS graduate with experience in UNIX and
PERL
web management
HIRING TIMEFRAME : we are looking to hire someone as soon as possible ( it
takes about 6 weeks to get a VISA )
PLACE OF WORK : Offices of the company located in London / Chelsea
REMUNERATION : about 21000 UK£ to 23000 UK£
