A visual reminder is a generic name for a framework, diagram, or illustration that can help to capture and communicate complex issues. We use them often to clarify our own thinking, or help a group of people to grasp easily what is being discussed and agreed upon.

A tree diagram can be used to break down a problem, issue or topic. Tree diagrams can take many forms: to visualize hierarchy, to identify possible decisions and their consequences; a tree diagram can be horizontal, vertical, multi-directional, radial, hyperbolic and can be used as a metaphor. A metaphorical tree diagram can for example visualize inputs by the roots of the trees and the results of a process as the leaves of tree.

If you want to explore more, this website is a good way to start. It collects various visualization methods categorized in six categories: data visualization tools, information visualization tools, concept visualization tools, strategy visualization tools, metaphor visualization tools and compound visualization tools. It's a naming issue, I'm coming to HubSpot from SFDC. By Opportunities I mean Deals. And I mean all Deals for the sales team. If there aren't any visual cues, it there another way to get a list of all Deals in the various pipeline stages that haven't been touched - in any way - over the last 7 days?

There currently aren't any options for visual cues in HubSpot but I'd recommend looking into saved filtered views. These views are a saved subset of all of your opportunities. You can find instructions for creating these views here: -setup/create-customize-and-manage-your-saved-views

Background: To reduce the incidence of surgical site infection, preoperative antibiotics should be administered within 60 min before surgical incision. The purpose of this study was to determine whether adding a visual interactive electronic reminder with a message related to antibiotic administration to our anesthesia information management system would increase compliance with prophylactic antibiotic guidelines.

Methods: We retrospectively studied electronic anesthesia records of ambulatory and day-of-surgery admission surgical cases in which one of our usual prophylactic antibiotics was administered from June 2004 through December 2005, an interval that includes cases both before and after the February 2005 implementation of the new reminder. Compliance was defined as documented antibiotic administration within 60 min before the surgical procedure starting time. Noncompliant cases were divided into those in which dosing was too early or too late.

Results: Compliance for 4987 cases before and 9478 cases after the reminder was implemented increased from 82.4% to 89.1% (P Conclusions: The implementation of a visual interactive electronic reminder regarding administration of preoperative antibiotics in an anesthesia information management system was associated with a sustained increase in compliance with surgical prophylactic antibiotic administration timing guidelines.

Apologies if this is covered elsewhere, I haven't found the answer.

I wish to set a number of recurring reminders that will display on my Mothers (Age 91) Google Hub Max screen.

I understand that I can set the reminders in (her) Google Calendar, to which I have access. Do I need to do anything / make any setting changes to her Hub to ensure they actually display on the screen at then correct time on the right day. She is hard of hearing so a visual reminder is necessary.

What does she need to do once she has 'seen' and actioned the reminder to clear it from the screen?

We don't live nearby so I need to do all this remotely.

Setting reminders is one of the most useful features of Google Nest speakers. I truly understand how helpful it is for you and to your mother especially that it's so easy to use and navigate. If you have completely set up your Google Nest display as well as your phone that uses the same account, setting reminders is very easy. However, the Google Nest display can only show one reminder at a time. As soon as the reminder is shown, you can tap on the screen to remove it from the display.

I stole that for my hugo documentation site & extended it because I found very useful to have a visual reminder on the rendered page and not only on the code.

So while browsing the site i can see:

A few weeks ago, he wrote to me that he was inspired by my blog and particularly how the Japanese Daruma dolls are as visual reminders setting intentions. His company decided to create their own Indian version of the Daruma to use in their behavior change program.

When I get home from a trip with thousands of photos, my hand photo reminders make it so much easier to find photos I am looking for, whether they are panos, photos taken by other people, or something else.

HAGER: In the 1960s, engineers flooded Glen Canyon to store water from the Colorado River. Now less than a quarter full, it's a harrowing visual reminder that we built a system for watering the West, and that system is on the ropes. But at the same time, when the water draws back, people like Stauss are celebrating what gets revealed, and you can see that change in real time.

HAGER: As we start to turn the boat away from shallow ground, Necefer says it's a great reminder - as much as humans try to control the natural world around them, even on a huge scale, nature bats last.

The final step took me another year to complete. I wanted the pictures to show similar details so they become comparable. Plus, I also wanted to visually emphasize the decay. In the end, every picture was cropped to the same format and a combination of various filters in Color Efex Pro gave me the moody look I was after. Sicilian Balconies was finally complete.

In other words, bring the physical item out of its storage space and onto your work station at the moment you are going to take action, and not before. Until then, trust in your reminder list to capture the tasks associated with the items.

You want a visual reminder every day of what your goals are. When something is in our field of view, you unconsciously stay connected to them, and this can help you make micro-decisions to keep you on track. For example, if you are trying to save up for a vacation home, put up a photo on your bulletin board. If you want to become a Chief Technology Officer, write it down and display it somewhere.

The whiteboard can be used as a mind map to plot out ways to achieve those goals or use it as a visual reminder. Write down all the action steps needed, break them up by short term or long term goals, or use it to write down motivational quotes to keep you motivated.

Often times you can show someone an example of how to hold a pencil but when the next day comes around it can be difficult to remember the exact grip you want. If you are working on trying to change the way a student holds a pencil with an inefficient grasp, it can be hard to break a bad habit. This pencil grasp hand out can help to provide a reminder and a visual reinforcement to help promote the efficient grasp.

The 4 page free pencil grasp reference sheet includes 2 pages for right handed students and 2 pages for left handed students to encourage correct pencil grip. You can use a full page visual reminder to hang up in the classroom. The second page includes 4 smaller versions to encourage proper pencil grasp. You could place those inside workbooks, pencil boxes or on top of a desk.

Art Therapy Work

My art therapy clients have enjoyed creating their own visual reminders during individual sessions and groups. Artful signs can be created for many reasons and types of reminders. They can range from playful reminders to very specific ones.

I want to empower and challenge my patients to be as independent as possible," Tipton said. "It can be easy to develop a learned helplessness mentality. The bonus points are a great way for my patient to visualize their progress by seeing what they've accomplished thus far. I tell them, 'Yes, you can. It's up here. We can see it. You can see it. Let's keep pushing for independence.'"

If you identify with this learning style, a great way to keep practicing mindfulness is to have visual items in your environment. These items can be simple decorations such as crosses, fresh flowers, mementoes, pictures, and anything else that you enjoy having around you. For some people these reminders might be carried on their bodies in the form of tattoos, pendants, symbolic jewelry, and other items.

There are many reasons for patients to be non-adherent to their treatment regimens (Patel and Spaeth 1995). Some of these include cost of medications, inability to dose the medications themselves, side effects, and failure to understand the role of medical therapy in the treatment of their disease. However, the most commonly cited reason for not dosing is patient forgetfulness (Patel and Spaeth 1995; Taylor et al 2002). An electronic medication-monitoring device, coupled with a reminder mechanism, allows physicians to indirectly measure adherence and may also decrease patient forgetfulness. However, the behavioral effects of these reminders, independent of other factors such as the intervention and measuring patient behavior, are yet to be determined.
