JOB TITLE :DevOps Engineer
DURATION:12 Months
CONTRACT:C2C
LOCATION :Remote


Responsibilities:

.Support growth needs, maintenance, and ongoing health of 1.7 PB Elasticsearch cluster and 2 PB CEPH cluster
.Own the resolution of technical or functional issues in a complex environment to provide timely resolution
.Identify opportunities to deliver self-service capability for the most common infrastructure and application management tasks
.Manage tools and processes for monitoring, logging, and alerting across infrastructure and systems
.Develop applications, automation using to write shell scripts in Bash, Python, Java, and C
.Rotating On-call availability--including nights and weekends--to ensure continuous operation of mission critical systems
.Resolution of vulnerability assessments
.Maintain excellent communication with leadership on project developments, obstacles, and impediments
.Bring a passion to stay on top of DevOps trends, experiment with and learn new CI/CD technologies

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

.2-3 years Systems administration experience with exposure to Linux in a professional setting or an educational equivalent
.2-3 years experience working with network protocols, subnets, switching, routing, VLANS and network troubleshooting.
.1-2 years experience working with network services such as SSH, DHCP and DNS.
.1-2 years experience with server virtualization technologies and open source networking
.Administrative experience using cloud computing platforms and deployments (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure)
.Understanding of database replication, clustering technologies, high availability, and disaster recovery (Mongo, Postgres, MariaDB)
.Experience with open source technology stack/tools such as Salt, Rundeck, kubernetes, ELK, Ansible, Gitlab, Grafana, Jenkins, etc.
.Understanding of internet security and data privacy best practices in highly-regulated industries
.Experience with root cause analysis and an emphasis on developing sustainable solutions
.Exceptional time management skills and the ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
.Associate s degree or higher level of education in an information technology discipline or equivalent work experience
