Integration of SOIS EDS for F´

I am currently working on an R&D to see if F Prime is suitable as a base framework for an AOCS/GNC instrument flight software, star tracker, rendezvous camera, navigation camera etc.

If I refer to what the reports of the European working group SAVOIR_SAFI(1) say, the ICD-SW in proprietary format (company's own) aim to disappear in order to homogenize/standardize them.

They would be replaced by EDS whose format is defined by the CCSDS(2), and each equipment manufacturer would be required to provide its interfaces in this format.

The format defined by the CCSDS is based on the XML language, and I could see that the interfaces defined in F Prime for Command-Event (TC-TM) are also based on the XML language, but are not compliant with the CCSDS format.

Hence my question: are there any plans to make the F Prime XML interface files CCSDS compliant?

Should we open an Issue on the F Prime GitHub on this topic and label it as "enhancement"? In the same way as on the cFS/cFE GitHub: https://github.com/nasa/cFE/issues/243

We have been discussing converting the packet protocol to CCSDS and CFDP at some point. That wouldn't be an XML change at the F Prime level, but how we compose the packets that get sent to the ground system. I would certainly encourage you to submit a GitHub request to register your support for this. Add the URLs you have here for reference.
