Hi,

I have just released fping 3.10:

* Fix confusing error message with -g and IPv6 addresses (#58, reported by Axel Beckert)
* Allow option '-f' also for non-root (since setuid privileges are dropped)
* Do not retry twice DNS lookup on DNS lookup problem
* Remove support for NIS groups
* Better document -B backoff-factor and when it can be used (#33, Oleksiy Zagorskyi)
* More tests added

You can download it here: http://fping.org/

Cheers
David

Dearest David, thank you for the great fping program for unix, really appreciate this one, but I have very important proposal to you - could you PLEASE add functionality to fping to show not only UNIX timestamp, but in usual date +%F +%T format, for example, that human like me and you can read:) More over it will be useful if you'll permit to use standard date parameters like mentioned above so everyone can make custom timestamp for his/her needs.

Thanks for understanding, I'll be waiting for v3.20 with -D that will be more "humanized" ;)

-Viktor.

Hi Smain,

I am guessing

what is mean the result duplicate
172.25.78.202 : duplicate for [0], 96 bytes, 5.67 ms

You got two answer packages for one request. I once had a buggy router from D-Link creating those kind of issues.

172.25.78.64 is alive [<- 172.30.25.94]

The response came from another address than the address the request was sent to.

Cheers.
