Hi,
I am using macOS 13.4 on an M1 MacBook Pro. I installed IceStudio v0.10 and Brew; Brew is in the path (PATH=/opt/homebrew/bin:/opt/homebrew/sbin:/Users/jeremy_m1/opt/anaconda3/bin ETC).

When I tried to enable drivers I got a message 'arch: Can't find Brew in path'. I have tried reinstalling IceStudio in the unlikely event that the install has gone badly bit no change.

Any suggestions?

thanks and all the best,
Jeremy

Hello Jeremy,

I have encountered the same thing (with other programs, not IceStudio).

There are 2 version of HomeBrew - one for the Intel devices and the other for the ARM devices such as yours (and my iMac). The ARM version lives in ‘/opt/homebrew’ while the Intel version lives in ‘/usr/local/HomeBrew’.

So much for the cause, the solution might be fr you to install the Intel version as well - there are a number of web sites that show you how to do this and also how to select which one you use in any particular time.

HI Susan,
Thanks for the suggestion and I will look into doing this.  I see that IceStudio is an Intel app so it makes sense that it might need the Intel Brew. I should have checked that. I had a look on the interweb and found some suggestions on installing and running both versions of Brew  - not super easy, but that is often the case. I do have a back-up of my last Intel Mac and that had the Intel Brew so I might just copy that installation across and change the path.
all the best,
Jeremy
