Haiti Disaster Relief Efforts

Parents of FPCY Church School Children:   As you may have heard, our church school has begun the process of making health kits to be distributed in Haiti to those who have suffered so much as a result of the disaster.  The kits will be distributed in Haiti by the Presbyterian Disaster Relief Organization.   Each health kit, which the children will compile and put into a zip-loc bag, consists of the following items:   Washcloth Hand towel Bar of soap Large-toothed comb Individually packaged tooth brush Nail clipper without file Six bandaids   We are requesting donations of the above items.  Your child(ren) can bring them to Church School this Sunday (or next, as the need will continue).  Items will be collected during the sanctuary gathering time on Sunday at 9:30.  Please note that the items in bold are particularly needed since they are not easily purchased in bulk.   Questions can be directed to Heidi Haring, leader of our Moved by the Spirit center where these kits are being made.  You can also learn more about this relief effort and others by visiting http://www.pcusa.org/.   Thank you in advance for your help.   Beth Gruber and JoAnne Marsh, Church School Superintendents
