Special Prayer Gram from the First Presbyterian Church of Redding
Psalms 62: 5 thru 8
My soul, be at rest in God alone, from whom comes my hope.
God alone is my rock and my salvation, my secure height; I shall not fall.
My safety and glory are with God, my strong rock and refuge.
Trust God at all times, my people! Pour out your hearts to God our refuge!

The EPC Office of the General Assembly
Dear ministry colleague,
I received an email today from a Ruling Elder at Iglesia Presbiteriana Westminster, one of our EPC churches in Puerto Rico. Please take time today and pray as Hurricane Maria is forecast to hit the island tomorrow morning.
This is what the email said:
I take the liberty to write as Puerto Rico braces for the direct hit of a major hurricane. The entire island will be impacted and major damage is expected. Please pray for our island and our EPC churches in Bayamón, Añasco, and Mayaguez. May the Lord protect us. May the Lord be praised. May this be an opportunity to serve the Lord wherever we are, under all circumstances.
Blessings in the Lord,
Alfredo Aponte
RE Iglesia Presbiteriana Westminster
Bayamón, PR
Thank you for praying for Puerto Rico, even as you have prayed for Texas and Florida following hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Sustained winds on the island are expected to be 105-125 mph, with gusts to 175 mph. The National Weather Service has issued a hurricane warning, indicating an “extreme” threat to life and property from wind and flooding rain, and a high risk of storm surge and tornados.
We will provide an update on Maria's impact as soon as we can.
