Special Prayer – Gram from the First Presbyterian Church of Redding
Serving Christ & Community since November 17, 1878
146 Years in Redding, California
In a world filled with chaos,
we pray because prayer is the antidote to anxiety
There simply is no greater work, no greater calling,
no greater ministry than that of intercessory prayer.

For – The Texas Flood Victims
Prayer for – Texas Flood Victims and their families
Heavenly Father,
We lift up every family affected by these devastating floods in Texas.
You are our refuge in the storm and our shelter in the flood.
Let Your mighty hand protect those in Llano, Georgetown, Kerrville, and every town on alert.
Rescue those trapped. Strengthen the first responders. Provide comfort to the anxious and hope to the weary.
And Lord, hold tight every parent, child, and elderly person who doesn’t know where to go tonight.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Note: What’s happening in Texas right now is heartbreaking.
From Georgetown to Llano, Kerrville to Austin, communities are facing a sudden and severe crisis. Rivers are rising. Roads are submerged. Lives have been disrupted. Families are evacuating. Businesses—like the well-loved Grape Juice Restaurant in Kerrville,
TX—have closed their doors due to dangerous conditions. Family vacation packages
The San Gabriel River in Georgetown, Texas, has breached its banks. Flash flood warnings have been issued across the region. And according to the National Weather Service, this is one of the worst Texas Hill Country flooding events in recent memory.
Parents are anxious. Camps like Camp Mystic have issued emergency alerts. Popular destinations like Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Typhoon Texas have paused operations due to safety concerns.
This is not just a weather story—it’s a human story.
And now more than ever, Texas needs your prayers.
