Prayer – Gram from the First Presbyterian Church of Redding
Serving Christ & Community since November 17, 1878
147 Years in Redding, California
In a world filled with chaos,
we pray because prayer is the antidote to anxiety
There simply is no greater work, no greater calling,
no greater ministry than that of intercessory prayer.

Requested by – Nancy Streeter
For – Her brother, Steve Streeter
Continue Prayer for - Here's the latest on my brother Steve.  As some already know that he was on a respirator.  They have put in a trachea tube and transferred him to a facility in Folsom, CA.  I'm not sure why it wasn't a facility in Davis or how long he will be in Folsom before returning to Davis.  Given the recent developments Steve will longer be able to live on his own.  Brother Tom has been working out all the details for Steve and Steve's wife Nancy (who is in memory care).  I'm imaging that when the time comes for Steve to join Mom, Dad, Phil and his adopted son Nathan in heaven that he will be able to talk again.  Nathan was non verbal so they could have a real conversation.
Thanks for your prayers, Nancy Streeter

Requested by – Nancy Streeter
For – Her brother, Steve Streeter
Prayer for – Last Thursday a friend took Steve to get a permanent excuse from jury duty.  Davis had the strong winds like we had in Redding.  It knocked Steve down.  He spent the weekend in the hospital.  Yesterday, when he didn't respond to Tom's text to find out how he was doing, Tom had someone check on Steve.  Steve was found on the floor and was taken back to the hospital.  It means his ALS has progressed to his mobility.  No more tennis, he lettered in tennis at Shasta High.  He may need assisted living.

 March 24, 2026, (2026-12)
Requested by – Kandi M. Knapp
For – Her son Robert Ward and the whole Ward family
Prayer for – My son, Robert Ward, got a call from his father, Rick Ward on Thursday, February 26 that Rick had been diagnosed with terminal cancer and unable to give an estimated time he had left.  Rick asked Rob, Tristan & Petra, his granddaughter; if they would come to his memorial.  Robert said yes and they began the wait and preparation for word from family when to fly to Martinez, GA.
Friday, March 20th Rick called requesting Robert's presence in Georgia as soon as possible before he passes away.  Rick did not believe he would live till Easter.  Rick asked Robert to fly to Georgia one way and then drive his 2019 Kia back to Calif.  Monday, March 23 Robert flew out of Sacramento without Tristan & Petra. Robert arrived late that evening with an ambulance in the driveway of Rick's home.  Robert stayed by his father's side all through the night.  March 24th around 6am EST Rick passed away.  Robert was unable to speak with his father before he passed and it has hit Robert hard.  He is staying with Peggy, Rick's wife; and family for a few days before driving Rick's car back to Calif.
Please pray for God's loving mercy and grace for family and friends.  May they know and feel God's presence within and all around them.  Special prayers for Peggy's declining health and mental stability (possible early stages of Alzheimer's). Pray Robert be given strength and wisdom as he helps Peggy navigate through the next few days and confirm that she has the assistance she needs in place and secure before he returns.  At this moment Robert, Tristan & Petra plan to fly back to Ga for the memorial service to be announced.  Prayers for travel mercies as Robert drives back to Calif.  He plans to drive straight through in 3 days and be home by April 1.
