Special Prayer – Gram from the First Presbyterian Church of Redding
Serving Christ & Community since November 17, 1878
146 Years in Redding, California
In a world filled with chaos,
we pray because prayer is the antidote to anxiety
There simply is no greater work, no greater calling,
no greater ministry than that of intercessory prayer.

The Celebration of Life for Loyd Dodson will be on October 6, 2025, at 9:30 am with a military honors service and interment at the Northern California Veterans Cemetery in Igo, CA.  A Reception will follow at The First Presbyterian Church Chapel, 2315 Placer Street, Redding, CA.
Loyd worked for Mount Lassen Transport in Red Bluff. The owners have retired and passed the business on to their children.  But hearing of Loyd’s passing they are driving one of the buses to Redding and offered to pick up passengers at FPC and transport them to and from the Veteran’s Memorial Service.  They will be in the parking lot at 8:30am and leave at 8:45am.

Loyd was an avid motorcyclist and knew many of the members of the motorcycle escort group as well as being a member of a motorcycle club.  They will be providing an escort to the Veteran’s Memorial Service from Kent’s Grocery Market at 8:15am Monday October 6th.  Loyd’s ashes will be transported on one of the motorcycles and Lois was offered a ride on the motorcycle with them.
