In a world filled with chaos,
we pray because prayer is the antidote to anxiety
There simply is no greater work, no greater calling,
no greater ministry than that of intercessory prayer.

For – Alice McFadden and family
Prayer for – Alice McFadden, the Director of SEACM, has been undergoing dialysis and has been in the hospital for several weeks. She has just been taken off dialysis and placed on comfort care. Her husband is with her, and their son is on his way.

Please pray for an easy passage from this earth to our Father in heaven who is waiting for her with open arms. Pray for Alice's family during this passage and the sad times beyond.

Alice has spent many years working in the SEACM office at our church and in the community helping those from other countries become citizens of our country.  Please pray for her assistant, Alejandra Beltran, who will soon be certified by the government to continue Alice's work.

Thank you,
Linda A.

For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."

For – Shannon
Prayer for – Yesterday a young woman, named Shannon, attempted suicide in the Costco women's restroom.  She was found in time to save her life, which is a praise.  Prayers for this young woman, that Jesus would speak to her and heal her, that she gets the support and she needs going forward. Prayers for the 3 managers who responded and administered first aid until paramedics arrived. Prayers for so many who battle depression for what ever reason.
Thank you,
Jacky G

Requested by – Mary Goss
For – The family of Charles Emley
Prayer for – Thank you so much for praying for Charles Emley, my dear friend Dianne’s husband, who was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in February of this year.   After a brief battle with his illness, Charles went home to be with the Lord this Thursday, May 9.  He did not handle his second round of chemotherapy well and was hospitalized, taken off chemo, and sent home after a few days under hospice care.  He passed peacefully at home and without too much discomfort, in the presence of his wife, Dianne, and a wonderful, caring Christian caregiver.
Thanks again for all of your prayers.
 Mary Goss

Requested by – Jeanie Holt
For – (Update) Ron and Cathie Burns
Prayer for – Cathie has asked for prayer as they received devastating news that Ron’s youngest son passed away suddenly last Sunday. His wife and 14-year old daughter were present at the time. Please keep Ron, Cathie, and the son’s family in your prayers for peace and strength to get through this time, especially considering Ron’s current health situation.
Cathie’s knee replacement surgery takes place on Monday, May 6th. If all goes well, she should be released on Tuesday. She is working diligently to arrange caregiving coverage for Ron as well as many other details. He is to have a non-emergency, routine hemoglobin transplant tomorrow which should hopefully be his last appointment until she is able to drive again. He has shown some minor improvement from last week, and they are treasuring this time together. Please pray that she will have peace of mind that all will be well while she has this surgery, and that she can get some much-needed rest.

April 18, 2024 (2024-30)
Requested by – Jacky Gregore
For – I am asking for prayer for myself
Prayer for – After really good response to the medication I am on, it has stopped working.  Rather than put me on new meds which have the potential for more significant side effects, we are upping the dosage of my current med. The doctor is concerned as some of the other blood issues that generally respond back to normal ranges have not for me.  I am asking for prayer first that I stand firm in faith and am not discouraged, then wisdom for the doctors, and that my body would respond to the increased dosage with minimum side effects.
Thank you so much and blessing on each of you.
Jacky G.

For – (Update) Mary Onwiler
Prayer for – Mary underwent a successful lumpectomy procedure on April 4th for stage one breast cancer. Since that time she has undergone two more surgeries due to bleeding that occurred early Sunday morning; three within 10 days. At the moment, it appears the bleeding is under control, but her recovery is going slowly. She is still at Mercy but will eventually go to rehab. No visitors at this time. Your prayers and support are much appreciated.

Update For – Mary Onwiler
Prayer for - Praise to the Father, that after a few delays this morning, Mary’s lumpectomy went well, and she is back at her home with her daughter Melody taking care of her.
She initially had a great deal of pain and was not responding to pain meds, but as of this evening, it appears to be under control. They are asking for prayers that this will continue, and she will have minimal discomfort.

Please pray for swift healing and good rest for both of them, as well as no complications due to Mary’s MS.   Visitors will be welcome in a couple of days but please call first.
