Rera Karnataka - Update
We had a meeting with the RERA Chairman and members on 28th August 2019. The main agenda of the meeting was for discussing on forming 'Conciliation Committee' as per Section 32(g) of RERA as an alternate method of dispute settlement before filing Complaint with RERA. Meeting was also attended by CREDAI members. A broader plan for implementing Conciliation procedures was discussed. The Chairman has asked the participants to give their suggestions/views on the modalities to be followed for functioning of conciliation Committee. The Meeting invite was received by FPCE - Karnataka and Mr. Shankar, Mr. Raghu and Mr Ajit Naik were present in the meeting representing HOMEBUYERS.
The next agenda was starting RERA awareness program for all stake holders as per Section 33(3) of the act. The issues to be covered in awareness program were discussed. A note will be submitted to Authorities with issues to be covered in Awareness program.
The third agenda was on Registration of Common Area to Association as required under section 17(1) of RERA. After detailed discussion, it was decided to seek note from stake holders.
The fourth agenda was on compulsory Registration of AFS before accepting more than 10 percent of sale consideration. CREDAI has agreed for fulfilling this requirement. However a note on existing confusions on the subject will be prepared and submitted to RERA by all stake holders.
It is stressed by the RERA member 1 that whatever decision is taken on above agendas, should be as per RERA' act provisions.
After discussing agenda points, Mr. Shankar brought to the notice of CREDAI members that many builders (CREDAI Members) are not honoring orders of AO and RERA Authority. He very effectively requested the CREDAI members to advise their builders to honour the orders of AO/Authority.
