my name is Jan Bleha and I work as a community manager for Kiwi.com. I am happy to organize and support interesting events and activities and therefore I would be happy to support the Functional Programming Brno gatherings as well. Hello Jan,

Even though I have started FPBrno, it is now quite loosely structured group. Events are organized by whoever has time and other resources, usually more people are involved but I try my best to help. To be faithful to this spirit of openness, transparency, and collaboration I propose that we meet somewhere for some hot beverage and face-time, where anyone interested could come, and where we can discuss the matters. (Probably someday in January, time such that both students and working people would be likely to be able to come.)

That works for me... so Tuesday 2017-01-17 18:00 (are you Ok with the place?). Anyone pondering organizing FPBrno event is welcome there.

Hi guys, 

thank you for a good time in (for me) unusual place. 

To sum it up, we will organize the meetup in our wine cellar at Hlinky 102 on Wednesday, February 22 at 19:00. 

Please reopen the meetup.com group, maybe connect with https://www.meetup.com/Brno-Elm-Meetup/, and also publish in all your channels this event. 

For Kiwi.com paying the fees would be the best if anyone could pay it on your own and that invoice it to us. Anyone with a trade licence? 

Then all of us lets search for a good speaker(s) and promote the event in our circles. 

To see other IT events, please add the Google calendar Events. In upcoming days we plan to organize quite some of the events - see here, we would be happy if you could come.

Co se myslí "trade license"? Já su OSVČ, stačí to? Akorát dělám náklady
paušálně, takže když vyfakturuju 10k za večer, daně/pojištění z toho kus
ukrojí (litr až dva asi). Kdybych dělal náklady detailně, tak bych přes sebe
mohl nechat téct fpbrno hospody 1:1, ale zas bych platil strašně velký daně za
svoje normální příjmy. Z předešlých interakcí s Kiwi ale tuším, že když na
fakturu dám o pár korun víc, nemuselo by to ničemu/nikomu vadit, či?

medzitym sa podarilo tu grupu obnovit (https://www.meetup.com/fpbrno/) a zaplatil som aj ten poplatok (a az tak velmi mi nevadi ani ked to nepojde preplatit, staci ked ma obcas niekto pozve na obed :P).

Ale ak sa nejak dohodnete, tak dajte vediet a mozeme grupu presunut pod Pivnika, pripadne vymysliet nieco ine.

Matej accepted the pull requests, therefore, its presented as a planned event on FPBrno pages (http://fpbrno.github.io/). We already have one potential lecturer for the introductory talk. Please, notice that we are already mentioning Kiwi.com as a sponsor.

Marek successfully reopened meetup group (https://www.meetup.com/fpbrno/), which he mentioned in one of the previous emails in this thread. As far as I know, the question of payment, and also the group ownership, is still in discussion.

Following stuff is in progress/discussion:

* Printable fliers.
* Facebook group.
* Propagation in general.
