I use the fire fox browser. I downloaded and installed FoxTorrent. I
went to Jamendo and selected an album to download. Jamendo asks if I
want to use BitTorrent or Emule. I select BitTorrent. FoxTorrent
then opens up. For just a split second, a window apears in the top
left corner then disapears again. Fox Torrent sits there doing
nothing. In the top right a see a meter that says:
Downloading: 0B/SEC
Sharing: 0B/SEC

Then after a few seconds, a message pops up and says: You Have no
Downloads.

I can't get it to save anything. I went through and turned off every
security feature I could think of.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Do the example downloads on http://foxtorrent.com/exampledownloads
work?

Tom.

i had the same problem.

it's due to the software that runs with fox torrent, called
RedSwoosh. What worked for me was CTRL-ALT-DEL to get to the task
manager, and terminate the RedSwoosh process. This should reset
foxtorrent to work properly with firefox next time you open the
browser.

hope this helps

I started using FoxTorrent but with me it freezes during downloading,
I stopped RedSwoosh, but now the program says it cannot download
because RedSwoosh is not activ.
I like this add-on in Firefox but somehow it doesnot work properly.

I'm having the same trouble.
I'm trying to download Project Gutenberg Science Fiction CD - Mar.
2007.zip.torrent
http://snowy.arsc.alaska.edu:6969/torrent.html?info_hash=788f590f28a799cc1009a9b780b649fd6f0a2e91

I get the "Opening..." Firefox dialog box & it has the Open with
FoxTorrent.exe radial button checked.
I click ok & it goes through the normal Firefox download sequence very
quickly.

Then I get the FoxTorrent Downloads page:

Downloading: 0B/Sec
Sharing: 0B/Sec
You have no downloads. You can find some here.

I've also tried one of the discs on the example downloads and stopping
RedSwoosh & restarting Firefox all with no success.

I'm on Win2003 EE

I previously had uTorrent installed & it worked just fine, as did the
torrent feature in Opera. I was just trying to streamline my machine
& like the option of a FF plugin.

Thanks, Chaz
