Slow To Start up

Love the app, pretty interface, but the only issue I have is that it
is slow to load. I have the latest OS (1.3.5.1). Anyway to speed it
up?

When I start the app it starts searching for venues close by and this
takes anywhere from a minute to ... I'm not sure, after 2 mins I close
it and start again. I've even opened the m.foursqure version and then
updated, gone back to the app and most of the time it still not ready,
or it finally finds the near by venues. This is with 4 bars and on the
EV network/channel. The quickest its ever loaded is when I am at home
5 bars, no specific network, and had wifi connected. Maybe I'll try to
see how fast it loads on the different networks ...

I mean it could just be me. I've dropped my phone a couple of times
(that sucker is slippery).
