possible to 'check in' at a venue through a website?

Hey everyone,

We're looking to develop a mobile website for a company and were
wondering how we could best integrate four square functionality to the
website. We were thinking it'd be great to just have four square
social media icon (like the flickr, youtube, etc.) and when clicked
you could 'check in' from the website. Is this possible? If not,
does any one have recommendations of how other websites are promoting
four square on their websites?

I would personly recommend using a "whois here now" rather then a checkin method as people that want to checkin will do it from their phone's 4sq app or the mobile web or sms. no one is going to goto your mobile site just to checkin to your venue. people visting your site are going to be more interested in info bout your venue like open hrs and location and what is there.

To checkin from your site, you'll need to oauth the user and use the API to checkin to the venue.
