I'm looking for some help trying to get fern wifi cracker to start. When the app icon is clicked it asks for my root password and when it is entered it says it is no good ( although I know this isn't true as I'm logged in as root). When I try to start from the command line I get a can't open file message. So far I have updated and upgraded the program, Uninstalled and reinstalled. So far no luck. Any help would be appreciated. I'm running kali linux 2022.3 on VMware on windows 10. Thanks
i got a AWUS 1900 today and i know it supports monitor mode and i can enable monitor mode. However whenever i sue Fern wifi it cant enable monitor mode and i get a error but if i do "ip link set wlan0 name wlan0mon" then it can enable monitor mode but it disconnects me from wifi and it cant find and networks and Fern cant find any networks either. When i restart the system it goes back to ebing called wlan0. How ould i go about fixing this so i can use Fern Wifi
yes and it gets easier go download wifiway it is read yto go out the box and has all these tools in it as well as xiaopan i have been hacking wep since it was hackable this shit is great you can use backtrack but unless you are good just use wifiway its some much easier for a noob
although fern is a great tool and i have also used it but the problem is that in real life we dont know the passwords of the wifi networks so even a wordlist of 1Gb is useless and waste of time too .
So i would like to know a tool that doesnt require a word-list (now wifi phisher it requires 2 wireless adapters) so something easy to carry and can hack into the network without a word-list will be great
I am having a problem in Gerix Wifi cracker when i start gerix in configuring It donot show MAC address of RTL8187 network adapter as well as laptop wi fi and unable to add MAC address to wifi and network adapter.

Hell guy i am new here I am using kali linux in virtual box in my laptop. So guys can any one tell me how to enable wifi adapter of laptop in kali linux my host OS is windows 7 when i connect to wifi in my windows 7 and I go in kali linux the it shows a wired connection.
I think its not the objective here but if its useful for you I made a local wifi extractor where you can dump all the wifis stored in the pc and if they are encrypted in the local system you can try decrypt it but it needs to have admin privileges and then it will try to open a shell with system authority to crack the passwords.
