Hi Four Clowns Company Members,

It's been a little bit since Joe and I have checked in with you all about Four Clowns and I wanted to send you an update to let you know where things stand.

Joe was able to produce a version of That Beautiful Laugh in Glendale in the Summer of 2021 through Four Clowns. It went well! Thanks to those of you who saw and participated.

Since then, Joe and I have decided that our artistic pursuits are in different places from Four Clowns. I am pursuing directing theatre at various places and am about to begin a new venture at the intersection of live theatre and new media. Joe is creating a new clown company that he can truly call his own.

But I don't want Four Clowns to just go wasting in the wind as a brand because I believe the company members can still benefit from it. Therefore I think the best way to move forward is to keep the brand open to past company members to use as a venture that they can produce from. This means that if you have a clown project coming up or planning and you want to have the Four Clowns name behind it, you can. Just let me know what your plans are and I will send you the logos and additional producing tools. I'm also willing to help with some of the producing stuff, but it will be limited.

I happen to be directing a one-man clown show right now, going up at the end of April in the digital space. It's called My Uncle Sam and it's going to have multiple co-producing entities including Central Massachusetts Jewish Theatre, Jewish Repertory Theatre of Western New York, Theater Unspeakable of Chicago, and Four Clowns. So it will be the first such experiment in this new production model.

Please let me know if you have any questions or projects you want to move forward with under this model.

Sincerely,
