Hello Four Clowns Past and Present!

I hope this email finds you all safe and healthy! It’s been a long and tumultuous year, but there finally seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel for us performers and theatremakers. As folks start to get vaccinated, the possibility of live entertainment is becoming more and more feasible. With that in mind, I wanted to take this opportunity to reach out to anyone and everyone who has helped shape this company over the years, from its founding to the present.

Jeremy Aluma and I are scheduling two preliminary Zoom meetings next month. These will be very informal and intended as a sort of digital get-together to catch up, touch base, and gauge overall interest in the company. We’re hoping to get a sense of who would like to remain involved with Four Clowns and in what capacity as we begin to gear back up. There are a lot of exciting potential avenues for Four Clowns on the horizon. Among them: workshops and classes, a Fringe show, street clowning, and collaborations with larger companies like Noise Within or South Coast Rep. But we are also eager to hear from you all! What kinds of ideas do you have? What kinds of projects would you love to see our company tackle in the upcoming years?

For those interested, we’d love to have you join us for one of our preliminary Zoom meetings. We’ve put two on the docket to accommodate for those with busy schedules. The dates and times are as follows:

Thursday, April 22nd ~ 6:00-7:00PM Pacific Time

Hi Four Clowns Humans,

Joe and I have met several times in the last few weeks to catch up and inevitably Four Clowns came up everytime. We both think our work can be a source of healing for our communities and this world. The potential for outdoor street clowning is so exciting and so is returning to the theatre again for shows. I bet most of you have ideas you are interested in exploring again and I think the medium of clown will be an important one for bringing people out of this pandemic. 

Joe and I thought getting everyone together to just informally hang and talk about the possibilities could be a sweet first step to see what could emerge and to see who is interested in clowning together again. 

Jazmine, Judah, Leyla and I moved back to LA recently and are living in Glendale. It will be so great to see you again when social hanging resumes. Until then, I hope to see your smiling faces at one of the two zoom hangs.
