June Update!

We are excited to have several of our artists participating in the
ProArts East Bay Open Studios Event in June 2008. Instead of having
just one featured Artist of the Month we choose to highlight all of

Heather Piazza was featured in an article by Dave Newhouse – a Bay

Heather, Kathe and Graham Bird are all currently featured at the Frank
Bette Canter for the Arts in Alameda in their show “Schisms”, which
runs through June 28th, 2008. Check the Reviews page for details

For ALL Artists:

If you are interested in another exchange, sign-ups are now open for
our new set of quarterly Hand-Pulled Print Exchanges. ‘The Classical
Elements’ is made up of four themes; Earth, Water, Air and Fire. Sign
up for one or all of them. The first in the Series – Earth is due
October 15, 2008. Also, sign-ups are open for the Fruit Alphabet Hand-
pulled Print Exchange (Due January 2009).

We have added a Fine Arts Photography Exchange for those of you who
are also Photographers. [http://www.fouroceanspress.com/
exchange_photo.html] We are in the middle of our first exchange and
still have a few spots open. The theme for this one is ‘Movement’ and
the photos are due July 1st. The next in our series will be ‘The
Classical Elements’ made up of four themes; Earth, Water, Air and
Fire. Sign up for one or all four of them. The first in the Series –
Earth is due October 15, 2008.

We would love to have you participate in any of our future exchanges.



For Spring Exchange Artists:

Your Prints were due on April 15th - - - We are now over two months
past the due date!!! We currently have all but seven of the prints in

If you are one of the artists who are behind schedule, please send us
an update as to when we can except to receive your prints. The new
Final Deadline: Prints must be in our hands ASAP!!!

If we do not receive your prints by June 20th, they will NOT be
included in this set of Spring Exchange prints. We should not have to
make the Artists who were on-time wait for everyone who is running
late. We under stand that sometimes life gets in the way however, we
are over two months past the original deadline and we should really
have all the prints in... Thank you for understanding :)

We will send you a final e-mail when we are ready to mail out the
collated Spring Exchange Prints.



For Food Alphabet Exchange Artists:

The countdown continues…

You now have 5 days to complete and mail your prints to make the June
15th deadline. Our scheduled return date is mid-July and it very
important to get your prints in as soon as you can so that we have
time to collate them and send them back to the group in a timely
manner. Remember; do not include the letter in your image - just the
yummy food.

We currently have all 26 spots filled. It is very important that we
get all of the prints so that each letter is represented. We currently
have two of our prints already on the Food archive. [http://

For Fine-Art Photographers:

The countdown is on…

You now have 20 days to complete and mail your photographic prints to
make the July 1, 2008 deadline. Our scheduled return date is the
beginning of August and it very important to get your prints in as
soon as you can so that we have time to collate them and send them
back to the group in a timely manner.

We currently have all 12 spots filled. We would like to have a full
group of 25 for our first Photography Exchange. This is a good time to
call or e-mail all of the Photographers you know and invite them to
join the ‘Movement’ exchange. This is a really great way to collect
the work of a group of artists who are all working with the same
theme.



For Summer Exchange Artists,

The countdown is on…

You now have 35 days to complete and mail your prints to make the
July15th deadline. Our scheduled return date is mid-August and it very
important to get your prints in as soon as you can so that we have
time to collate them and send them back to the group in a timely
manner.

Please send us an e-mail when you mail your prints so that we will
know when to expect them. We currently have 23 spots filled and the
first print is already on the Summer archive page. [http://

receive your prints we will scan them and put them up on the Summer
Archive page. The archived images will be permanently displayed with a
link to your website. You can check it frequently to see who has sent
in their prints and so that you will know for which artists we are
still waiting. As the archive page starts to fill up it means we are
getting closer to sending you your pile of amazing prints. We have
already received an e-mail letting us know that the first prints are
on their way.
