May Update

[Four Oceans Press]

We are excited that several of our artists are participating in the
East Bay Open Studios (EBOS) 2008 event. EBOS is an annual event in
which over 400 artists open their studios to the public. It is a
wonderful opportunity to get inside an artists studio, see how they
work, talk to them about art and maybe take home a new treasure. EBOS
runs two weekends – June 7-8 and 14-15.

We are pleased to show off the work of Laima Rozkalns - our May Artist
of the Month. She participated in our Fall and Winter Exchanges and is

For All Artists:

The Spring prints are filtering in and our Summer exchange is filling
in, but still has room for you to sign up.

Our Food Alphabet Exchange is full and the prints are due in just over
a month on June 15th. However, we are currently taking sign ups for
our Fruit Alphabet Exchange - not due until January 2009.

For Winter Artists:

Your Prints should be on their way to you very soon. The last print is
on its way to us as we speak. We have been patiently waiting for one
artist and we are very sorry for the delay. The rest of the prints are

Thank you for your patience while we wait for him to finish up his
prints. We will send out an e-mail the day that we mail the prints so
that you will know when to expect them.


For Spring Artists:

Your Prints were due three weeks ago on April 15th. We currently have
ten prints in and already on the Archive page. [http://
www.fouroceanspress.com/archive_spring_2008.html] We have received e-
mails from several artists about their progress. We hope that the rest
of your prints are drying and will be on their way to us shortly.


For Food Alphabet Artists,

The countdown continues... You now have 36 days to complete and mail
your
prints to make the June 15th deadline. Our scheduled return date is
mid-August and it very important to get your prints in as soon as you
can so that we have time to collate them and send them back to the
group in a timely manner. Remember; do not include the letter in your
image - just the yummy food.


For Summer Artists:

We are still trying to fill up the list, so let your Artist friends
know about how fun these exchanges are & maybe they will want to sign
up too... For those who are in, your prints are due July 15th.
Hopefully everyone is already working out their ideas and are ready to
start being creative. Remember, it very important to get your prints
in as soon as you can so that we have time to collate them and send
them back to the group in a timely manner.


Fruit Alphabet Artists:

Sign ups are open for each letter of the Alphabet. We have 13 artists
already committed - so check out the list to see what letters are left
and waiting for you to create something yummy in their honor… The
prints are not due until January of 2009 - plenty of time to make
something divine! It sounds really far off, but it is only about eight
months away. We have a really good group so far… You should be part of
it!
