See message below about an event for our entire community. Hope to see everyone there!
Dear Four Mile Community Members:
Please join Four Mile Fire for an Open House on Saturday July 19 – 9am to 1pm, at the Poorman Fire Station (1740 Fourmile Canyon Dr.) The entire family is welcome!
Appetizers will be served and at 10 a.m. there will be introductions to our newest member Chief Wockner, as well as our former Chief Gibson, Board Representatives, Crew Members, and Community Member Raouhda Zelaya (who helped inspire and support this meeting). There will plenty of opportunity to mingle one-on-one with these members of the department.
There will also be the chance to:
- Meet our firefighters
- Tour the Poorman Station and check out our fire trucks –the kids will love it!
- Practice with fire extinguishers
- Build Firefighter Care Packages (please help by bringing donations of electrolyte mix, granola bars, and other shelf stable snacks)*
*The Firefighter Care Packages will be distributed to our individual Fire Packs and Apparatus’ (fire trucks). The reason for this is that we always want calories for the first 24 hours available to each Firefighter. So bring some healthy, caloric pre-packaged snacks and we will pack them up at the open house! This is a great way for the community to contribute (my favorite is peanut M&Ms, if that helps!).
