Hi Folks,

See message below from Chief Wockner.

From: Caroline Wockner <ch...@fourmilefire.org>

Hello Everyone,

we have been advised that Xcel is considering a PSPS for our area this Saturday afternoon. I want to let the community know that two fire stations in Four Mile Canyon have automatic backup generators, Salina and Poorman.

Additionally, the Poorman station has Starlink so it should always have internet. I will post the guest Wi-Fi network and password information on the upper and lower doors before Saturday. If you need Wi-Fi, please come use it! These stations are a community resource.

A note on staffing - Poorman fire station is not staffed 24/7. There is usually someone there every day from 9-5, unless we are on a 911 call or on a project in the field. If you'd like firefighters to assist with something and it isn't an emergency, the non-emergency Boulder County Dispatch number is (303)441-4444

Finally, weather events like this are always a good reason to get to know the people in your neighborhood that are on the fire department. If you are unsure of who that might be in your neighborhood or section of the canyon, I can connect you!  The phone number at the Poorman station is (303) 449-3333.

Take care and let us know if we can do anything to help through a power outage.

Caroline Wockner
Fire Chief - Four Mile Fire Protection District

Thanks,

J. Grace Miller
